The fall hours for the Youth Department are:
Bungalow - reservations required:
Mon. - Thurs.: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
 
Houstonian Hideout - reservations only required on weekends: 
Mon. - Thurs.: 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday: Closed
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Houstonian Club youth programs offer indoor and outdoor training for individual and group sports throughout the year. In addition, custom programs can be designed to meet the physical, nutritional and emotional needs of any child. Before participating in our youth activities children must fill out the youth waiver below. For more information please contact the Youth Department at 713.685.6753.
 
 

After School Action!

*Soccer is taught on the field, between the outdoor parking lot and the end of the outdoor tennis courts.

Class Descriptions:
Youth Soccer – Pele, Renaldo, Hamm: These epic soccer players started with the fundamentals. Do you want to start on your way to becoming one of the great soccer players of your day? The Houstonian Club's Youth Soccer Class teaches you the necessary techniques and know-how to become one of the greatest. Passing, dribbling, shooting and game situations will put you ahead of the curve.
 
Youth Martial Arts- 
This class will be an introduction to martial arts and its techniques, while focusing on flexibility, form, and structure all in fun interactive games and teachings. The Houstonian Club’s Martial Arts class will help kids develop a greater sense of assertiveness, self-confidence, and self-esteem. Just like exercise strengthens your body, challenges strengthen your mind.
 
Youth Sports Conditioning – This class will focus on hand-eye coordination, stamina, speed, and strength for all sports and overall fitness. Basic functional movements with proper form will keep your child on track with their age-appropriate development.

Youth Yoga - Grace, strength and a little comedy! Want to work on your balance and have a blast doing it? This is the place for you. The Houstonian’s Youth Yoga classes teach children to build their strength from within and to graceful flow from one yoga pose to the next.
 
Youth Junior Certification
Required for children ages 9-11 to use the Club (except for fitness equipment or pools). Parents are required to be on property the entire time their children are in the Club. This certification includes a one-hour session in the youth department with a member of the youth team who will demonstrate safety guidelines and club etiquette. Sessions are made by appointment only and are complimentary. For more information, please call 713.685.6753.

Youth Certification
Required for children ages 12-15 to use equipment unsupervised. This certification includes a one-hour session with a member of the fitness staff who will demonstrate safety guidelines and exercise etiquette. Certification takes place in the indoor track area. Sessions are made by appointment only and are complimentary.
