Please enjoy this video with Club Member, Epidemiologist and Infectious Disease Specialist, Dr. Ed Septimus. Dr. Septimus has been a vital part of our team in reopening the Club with the best practices and precautions in place. This video will give you an inside look into our reopening strategy.
If Members choose not to follow the measures we have put in place to protect everyone they will be asked to leave the Club.
In the fitness center, we will continue to require a face covering during exercise unless you are using the cardiovascular equipment. You may remove your face covering during that portion of the workout. If you are performing a high intensity weight lifting exercise, you may remove the face covering from your nose and mouth for the moment and then put it back on. Please continue to support our staff by wiping down your equipment and areas you use with the Bio-Safe water and/or sanitizing wipes provided and place your soiled towels in the appropriate towel bins. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently. We have added a new feature to the cardiovascular equipment in this area to designate when the equipment has been used so our floor staff knows when it is in need of sanitation. We will also be adding additional Plexiglas in specific areas of the fitness center for your protection.
We continue to ask that you practice safe measures while attending group exercise classes. If you are taking a class, once you are inside the studio you may remove your face covering for exercise as long as you are at least 6 feet away from another Member or the instructor. Please do your best to avoid clustering in groups even while wearing a face covering, and always practice safe social distancing before and after class. Onsite classes are still available by reservation only through the MindBody app, but you may walk in to a class if there is space available.
We may have heavier usage in the club this weekend, so please remember that when using the elevators or stairwells, only one person or household at a time is allowed to utilize these spaces in order to maintain social distance.
As always, if you have been to the Club since we’ve reopened and have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or have a friend or family member with whom you've recently been in close proximity for an extended time that has been diagnosed with COVID-19, please quarantine yourself for 14 days from the date of your potential exposure.
