Yoga Lab: Exploration of the Squat

In this lab we will briefly talk about the anatomy and biomechanics of one of our most fundamental and important movement patterns. Come learn how these variations of the squat are applied to yoga and develop a deeper level understanding of the intricacies and nuances of this movement

YOGA LEARNING: Hatha & The Eight Limbs* $150

 
There’s a lot more to yoga than what happens on the mat.  When you’re ready to broaden your yoga experience, teachers appear and opportunities such as Yoga Learning welcome you to study yoga beyond the postures.  

Consider this workshop - the first of a series -  on hatha yoga, Patanjali's limbs of yoga and how both can be relevant in your modern life.  Explore essential hatha poses and how they steady minds and bodies as preparation for deeper stages of yoga.  Then discuss the mythical character Patanjali and his recommendations for a yogic path.  Most helpful prerequisite: a curiosity to learn.  No specific physical abilities and/or yoga experience are required.  Suggested readings will be emailed to participants upon registration.

Yoga Nidra Relax into Greatness

Yoga Nidra literally means yogic sleep. Yoga Philosophy: Wisdom of the Sutras

Much wisdom can be found in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, but diving into this ancient text is no easy feat without an experienced guide. Join yoga teacher and long-time student of yoga philosophy, Rhia Robinson, on a journey through the key teachings of the Sutras and learn how to apply them to modern life.

This physically-intense practice moves at a steady pace through classical yoga poses to create a fluid, creative and energizing experience. Come with previous yoga experience and count on leaving with a sweaty sense of energy and empowerment.

Yoga Power HEATED

Push it. Work it. Yoga Power classes are challenging strength building, full-body blasts designed to build focus, endurance, and flexibility. This physically-intense practice moves at a steady pace through classical yoga poses to create a fluid, creative and energizing experience. Come with previous yoga experience and count on leaving with a sweaty sense of energy and empowerment. Per the HEATED designation, the studio will be warmed to 86 degrees for the practice.

Yoga Power on the Meadow

Take your yoga outside! In this pop-up class, arrive to our beautiful Meadow ready to practice an invigorating, physically-challenging sequence, surrounded by trees and open sky. Bring your own mat and water. In case of rain, the class will take place in Studio B and registered participants will be emailed.

A beginner-friendly, physically-mild practice of simple shapes and plenty of space for breath and being.

A beginner-friendly, physically-mild practice of simple shapes and plenty of space for breath and being. The 90-minute practice ends with a 30-minute guided meditation.  No prior experience needed. 

Yoga Stretch & Roll

'Want at simple way to feel great?  Sample this hybrid class combining the simplicity of Yoga Stretch with the massage of the Yoga Tune-Up Therapy Balls!  A beginner-friendly practice includes effective postures to lengthen typically tight muscles and simple, easy-to-learn rolling techniques with the therapy balls to increase blood flow and range of motion.
