Water Fitness S-T-R-E-T-C-H

Learn 100 ways to use a pool noodle to get the most relaxing stretch and improvement on range of motion from head to toe in the warm, therapeutic waters of our Garden Pool.  This seasonal class will end in November.

Water Fitness Walk 'n Tone

Walk this way!  Maintaining bone density and toning muscles all while walking (in all directions) in shallow water (low-impact) using varying equipment (drag or buoyant) to change/increase intensity.  Safe and effective for conditions that are too hard for land-based exercise.

 

Water Fitness WaterWorx- Walk

Learn to use water resistance and currents to build core strength and work on range of motion in this  shallow-water 30 minute WaterWorx class.  Appropriate for all levels of conditioning.  Water shoes recommended.

WaterWorX is a cross between vertical water exercise and float supported swimming drills. It is designed to help develop cardio and muscular endurance while working the entire body. Join us for this one-hour challenge!

Weight-Less Workout

A dynamic deep water cardio-vascular, muscle conditioning workout guaranteed to burn tons of calories and take the stress off the joints.
In accordance with the Houstonian's class attendance expectations, if attendance of a class does not meet or exceed the minimum class attendance standards within the time frame agreed upon with the instructor, the class may be dropped from the schedule.

Join Houstonian instructor Larry Thraen for an anatomical exploration of the upper back and cervical spine to discover the why, the what and the how to prevent that "crick" in the neck. The workshop is particularly suitable for people that sit at a desk for a living. In particular, we’ll focus on posture and back and neck strengthening exercises for teenagers and young adults to address "tech neck”.

WiBit Swim Workout

A fun swim workout that incorporates the use of the inflatable WiBit along with the conventional swimming for a unique water experience. Class is open to all levels of swimmer. (Seasonal)

Women's Beginner Tennis League 2.0 to 2.5*

Try our signature Xpress Weights class utilizing the large Resist-a-balls! Get the same great upper body strength workout while sitting or lying on the ball for additional stability and core work.

Xtreme Boxing Basics

Fast-paced, high-energy workout that combines basic martial-arts based kickbox drills on the heavy bag with intense cardio moves on the floor.

Yin Yoga

Hold mostly sitting poses for 2 - 5 minutes to transform joint fluids and connective tissue from static to dynamic or something like from dried pasta to cooked pasta. Beginner-friendly, especially beneficial to runners, swimmers and anyone with tight hips and hamstrings.
