Ladies Tennis Clinic (3.5 Level and Up)*

This class is for ladies that have experience in league play. Participants must be able to serve, rally and use a variety of spins as well as have the ability to compete in internal and external leagues. Doubles strategy is the main focus of this clinic. Men's 3.5 to 4.0 Tennis Drop In

The men’s tennis drop in is a chance to meet other members who play at a 3.5 to 4.0 level. This group meets to play doubles and rotate around. If you are interested in the Men’s doubles, call 713.685.6847 or email us at tennispros@houstonian.com.

Monday Night Men's Tennis Drills*

If you are a 3.5 level or above player, we have Monday night drills for the men. The drills work on double’s strategy, ball placement, technique and is a great way to meet other players here at the Club. The cost is $35 per night.

Padel Academy with Coach Jose and Francisco*

Join Jose and Francisco, Padel Champions for a Padel experience you won't forget. Fee based.

Padel and Extended Tennis Camp*

Padel is a great way for your child to be introduced to a racquet sport. Padel shares identical strokes to tennis and uses a tennis ball. Your child will learn all the basic strokes of tennis as well as learning the interesting and challenging aspects of Padel in using the walls. The class is structured for kids to learn Padel and rally and play quickly in a way that is both enjoyable and rewarding. The Houstonian is proud to have coach Debbie Ladig who is a decorated Padel player having played on past US Padel teams. Fee based camp.

Pickelball Camp*

Kids will learn all the essentials of technique for competitive play. They will also learn strategies of Pickleball and the rules of game and how to keep score. Fee based camp.

Pickleball

Come and join in on pickleball one of the fastest growing Racquet sports in the U.S. All players can meet on court 8 of the tennis center. Please wear tennis appropriate shoes. The racquet and balls are provided. Complimentary.

QuickStart Tennis*

an exciting new play format for learning tennis, designed to bring youngsters into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size. The program is divided for those aged 8 and under – with a court size of 36’ x 18’ – and for those aged 10 and under – with a court size of 60’ x 21.’ For more information call 713.685.6847. Shot of the Week*

Come learn all the important fundamentals of the shot of the week. The class will be designed to focus intensively on one shot per class with drills and instruction with the pro and other students. Fee based class.

Summer Junior Tennis Camp*

The Summer Junior Tennis Program is from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The ages of the camp vary from 4 to 16 years of age. Our professional teaching staff will make sure that your child is sized to the racquet needed as well as the type of quickstart tennis ball so that they can learn quickly how to rally and have fun. They will be doing specific drills, playing actual games to learn the scoring system and fun tennis games as well to teach fun competition. Fee based camp. Summer Padel, Swimming & Tennis Camp*

This Program is from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The first portion of the camp from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. is held on the padel court along with a dip in the pool for the kids to cool off prior to joining in on the Summer Junior Tennis Extended Camp. The children will learn how to play padel which is the fastest growing racquet sport in the world and a perfect complement to tennis. The skills learned on the padel court are the same skills that the children will learn on the tennis court. This is a great opportunity to learn two new sports of a lifetime. Fee based class. Summer Tennis Extended Camp*

The Summer Junior Tennis Extended Camp can either be taken separately from 12 - 2 p.m., or for the children that desire to do the Summer Tennis camp from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and stay longer to get in more tennis until 2 p.m. Even if they are picking up the racquet for the first time, it is never too late to begin learning a sport of a lifetime. Student that stay for this program are generally under 10 years old. Your child will be properly sized to the racquet needed as well as the type of quickstart tennis ball so that they can learn quickly how to rally and have fun. They will be doing specific drills, playing actual games to learn the scoring system and fun tennis games as well to teach fun competition. Fee based camp. Tennis Camp*

The Houstonian Club offers a great tennis program for kids that are 10 and up. Even if they are picking up the racquet for the first time, it is never too late to begin learning a sport of a lifetime. Students at this age will learn singles and doubles strategy, rules and etiquette. Your child will be properly sized to the racquet needed as well as the type of Quickstart tennis ball so that they can learn quickly how to rally and have fun. They will be doing specific drills, playing actual games to learn the scoring system and fun tennis games as well to teach fun competition.

Voyagers Tennis Program

The Voyagers Tennis Program is a chance to get out and meet new friends in the 60 plus age range.  The level of the voyagers program is intermediate and up.  The format is open doubles play.
