New-to-Yoga Orientation

Take a few moments to orient yourself to the multi-dimensional yoga program offered at The Houstonian!  Meet in the Yoga Lounge and find out the essentials about how to pick a yoga class, take a yoga class and keep current with the numerous specialty yoga classes offered.  'Everything from where to leave your shoes, where to start and what’s this about tattoos on the floor?!

No Limits Circuit

Change it up in this full-body, athletic-based cardio and strength training circuit class. This challenging, boot-camp style workout is unique in that it moves you through stations but also brings everyone together with movement.

O Zone

This intense non-stop cardio workout will take you to the “Zone” working to optimize VO2 max and recovery. Intermediate-Advanced. Capacity of 30 people.

Old Skool Kardio

Old Skool is the New Rule with heart pumping Hi-Lo Cardio combinations performed on the floor, followed by fun and energetic Step choreography on the bench.

Older Kid Yoga* (ages 8+)

Nurturing the maturing independence of 8 year and older kids, these classes encourage a deeper sense of body awareness, self-exploration and interpersonal skills. Alive with flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises and creative relaxation techniques, children are sure to relish in their selves. As well, partner poses and cooperative yoga games inspire positive peer interactions that they are sure to carry into their everyday lives. One & Done

This unique Cycle class combines challenging cardio drills to improve speed and endurance with upper body strength and core training exercises using power bands, offering you a complete cardio and strength workout in one efficient 45 minute class! ONE workout and you are DONE for the day!

One Body Part: Back

 

Treat your back to less stress and more ease!  We'll recruit neighboring muscle groups to take the load off the back and free up the spine.  Accessible, effective, and informative.

Experience self-care for your face and your eyes in this practice!  Using a mix of tools including your hands and therapy balls, we’ll enhance the neuromyofascial relationships of the head, neck and eyes.  Accessible, effective, and informative.
