Otters Pre-Swim Team*

Otters Pre- Swim will help prepare your child to be ready for joining a swim team. It is designed to teach children ages 4 to 9 the fundamentals of balance, timing, breathing and starts for competitive swimming. There are three different levels of Otters: Beginners, Advanced and Select. Please contact the Aquatics Department at 713.685.6751 to gain a better understanding of each of the levels. Otters will meet in the fall and early spring each year. Fee based class.

Otters Water Polo for Kids*

Otters Water Polo for kids is a developmental water polo program for children ages 6 to 12. The program focuses on the basics of water polo in a fun and safe environment. Children will learn the fundamental rules of the game, how to pass and how to shoot. Fee based.

Peaceful Waters

This shallow or deep water relaxation class emphasizes breathing with movement. We utilize arthritic movements that are gentle on the joints and help with increase range of motion with an emphasis on breath control and relaxation. Appropriate for all levels especially those with arthritis or those recovering from joint rehab.

Pilates PUNCH

Punch up your energy, coordination and strength with this combination of Kickboxing, Ballet/Pilates, cardio, strength and flexibility.

Poolates

This is a deep water and shallow water class incorporating the disciplines of Pilates.  Learn how to challenge your core through stabilization and mobility. Feel your body lengthen and strengthen in the warm healing waters. No reformer needed, water noodles or barbells are the equipment of choice.

Private and Group Swimming Lessons (Year-round)

All ages, all skill levels. Learn technique and strategy from the top coaches in the area. By appointment. Please call 713-685-6751 to set up lessons.

Regular SwimFit

Class open to all abilities of swimmer from competitive, triathletes and fitness swimmers.
Designed for stroke and technique improvement and endurance conditioning. (Seasonal)

Relax and Restore

Relax and restore muscle balance by passively stretching the tired muscles and increasing flexibility with functional movements. Disciplines of Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi are incorporated bringing the mind, body and spirit together.

Six Pack Abs

Six Pak Abs targets the abdominal muscles that provide support for the core. Working on core strength, balance and stability with the use of the noodle. Great for those with back issues who cannot do sit ups on land. Learn to breathe mindfully!

Splash Clinics*

Kids ages 6 to 14 will enjoy this fun-filled clinic. Each week techniques and games will help swimmers develop strong understanding of the four different strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly). Splash Dance

This class is a deep water workout incorporating fun dance moves to improve your cardiovascular fitness. Noodles or belts are recommended. Appropriate for all levels.

Splash POWER

Use the power of water to aqua tone and gain core control. Tranquility and turbulence equals a dynamic aquatic workout. Come join an aqua boot camp format.

Sport Specific Challenges

Using a plethora of aquatic equipment from balls, bands, discs to improve eye hand coordination and improve response time to sport specific venues. Improve your golf, tennis, basketball etc. skills while working in the water.

Stand Up Paddle Board*

We're taking our group ex classes to the next level by doing them on a paddle board! Try your Bootcamp, Yoga, Pilates or Core classes on the water in these fun and challenging classes on a SUP (Stand Up Paddle) board. You will improve your balance, get your cardio workout and learn a little bit about the new craze of Paddle Boarding. You will get wet....but regular exercise attire works just fine if you choose not to wear your suit. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today. Swim -N- Slim

Learn the benefits of stretching in the water and how to create a high-calorie burning swim workout. Class mates will help each other with exercise accountability. Participants will have fun learn proper swim technique, breathing timing, turns and various ways to use the water for exercise. You must be able to swim one length of the Sports Pool without assistance but it does not have to be pretty-We will fix that for you. September through November.

SwimFit - Calorie Burn

Swim and per-burn your holiday calories with Charlie Fry. All Levels of fitness welcome. 

SwimFit - Challenge Set

This swim workout will consist of a main "challenge set" that will push your limits. The challenge set will vary from workout to workout and will be designed from a speed set to an endurance set. There might be a challenge pull or kick set included for the workout.

SwimFit - Fired Up

Get Fired Up in this power and speed class. Focused on sprinting with various amounts of rest, you will be pulling parachutes and other gear in the water for more strength and power. Whether you are new to swimming, experienced or you swim laps for fitness, this class will get you off plateaus for improved fitness and strength results.

SwimFit - Go The Distance

The swim workout will be designed for a distance swim to build endurance as well as speed. Each class will be divided into different distance sets, but will still cover a maximum yardage. Focus on pacing and pace management for a designed distance.
