How do I enter the Club?

Members and guests may enter through the southeast stairwell entrance. This is the main stairwell from the garage

 

 

How do I get to the Resident Lobby and Resident Locker Rooms?

Resident Members may enter through the southeast stairwell entrance and instead of stopping at level one you will continue to walk up one more flight of stairs to the second level where you will scan your access tag and be checked in to the Resident level.

I am used to taking the elevator from the garage, what do I do while they are under construction?

You may enter through the southeast stairwell entrance and instead of stopping at level one, you will continue to walk up one more flight of stairs to the second level where you will scan your access tag and be checked in to the Resident level. If you need to use the ADA elevator located in the upper garage please contact the Welcome Desk at 713.685.6888 to have access to this elevator.

What food options are available?

Refuel, our to-go counter has been relocated to the hallway after you enter through the temporary entrance (southeast stairwell). TRIBUTE at The Houstonian is also available for in-person dining or for to-go. Arbor Grill is open with limited hours. Please check the Houstonian app under the "Arbor Grill Conditions" tab for real-time operational hours.

What are my options for meeting space?

The Library and Boardroom are now closed since opening our new meeting spaces on January 10, 2022. Our two new meeting rooms are named after the Lantana flower and the Monarch butterfly that inhabit the beautiful butterfly garden that both rooms overlook. Natural light filters through both rooms creating an inviting and inspiring space for your next private meeting or small gathering. Monarch and Lantana are equipped with upgraded audiovisual technology and modern finishes to comfortably accommodate up to 16 people. Meeting spaces are able to be reserved by contacting Club Executive Assistant Erika Hinton at ehinton@houstonian.com

What areas are currently under construction during Phase 2?

The previous main lobby, rotunda, lobby elevators, sales and administrative offices, studios A, B and C, Tred & Shred, and the old basketball court will be under construction in Phase 2. The current Shop at The Houstonian will remain open while the new Shop is being built. The Bungalow and Kids Gym will be renovated and reopened during this phase.

Where are the childcare areas?

The Bungalow renovation was completed on March 23, 2022 and is now accessible down the hall from the temporary Welcome Desk, next to the new meeting rooms. The Kid’s Gym is temporarily on the 2nd level, where the previous Resident Fitness Center was, off of the indoor track.

What new areas will be available after Phase 2 is complete?

  • Newly constructed atrium with staircase leading to a new indoor turfed performance zone on the 2nd floor.
  • Café proudly serving Starbucks and to-go options with additional seating for socializing and working.
  • Indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar overlooking the pools with separate adult and family-friendly dining.
  • New shopping experience in a convenient location with a pop-up structure for events.
  • New cycle studio with state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and environment.
  • The new Kid’s Gym adjacent to the Bungalow with dual check-in and designated stroller parking. (Bungalow opened in March 2022)
  • Two new meeting rooms (opened in January 2022) and a card room.
  • Refreshed Lobby and Welcome Desk with additional get-together areas.

How long is Phase 2 projected to take to finish?

Phase 2 will take approximately 9 months, beginning October 22, 2021.

What was renovated during Phase 1?

We are very excited to share that two new, multipurpose group exercise studios, a new Pilates reformer/Versa Climber studio and a new yoga studio with a private yoga space were unveiled at the end of Phase 1. We also have a new indoor basketball court with seating relocated to the lower level. The newly renovated Resident Fitness Center was also completed during Phase 1.

How can I contact the Membership Sales Office?

The Membership Sales Team has been temporarily relocated to the Redstone Building.

Guest passes have been digitized and are available by clicking the "Guest Pass” icon on myhoustonian.com and are available on the new Houstonian app. If you are in need of additional support please call the Membership Office at 713.316.2729 during business hours (M-F, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or email membership@houstonian.com. They will return to the Club at the conclusion of the renovation.

How will updates be communicated to me during the renovation?

We will communicate updates primarily through e-mail. If you are not receiving emails from the Club at this time, please contact Allie Clark at aclark@houstonian.com. We highly recommend you download and log in to the new Houstonian app and allow notifications. This allows up to share updates in addition to email. Learn more about the app by clicking here.
