Traffic and Parking Reminders

This is a courtesy reminder regarding roadway safety and adherence to parking and Member drop-off/pickup guidelines while on The Houstonian Club campus, to ensure the safety of all Members.
  • The Houstonian campus speed limits are posted and should be followed with safety in mind. Roadway speeds of 10 mph and garage speeds of 5 mph are not to be exceeded at any time.
  • Please stop at all stop signs and pedestrian walkways as signage indicates.
  • Vehicles should always respectfully yield to pedestrian traffic.
  • Walkers, please be alert and refrain from looking at your phone while moving about on campus, for your safety and the safety of others.
  • As an added safety measure, scanning at the Club entry gate with your key tag or mobile key allows one vehicle per scan, so be prepared to scan as you enter. Please do not attempt to enter behind another vehicle or damage could occur.
  • We ask for your diligence following the posted ‘Compact Vehicles Only’ and ‘Oversized Vehicles Only’ signage. If your vehicle cannot fit within the Compact Vehicle space, please do not use this space. Oversized vehicle parking is for extra-large vehicles and/or those vehicles with a height that restricts them from using the parking garage due to low clearance. If your vehicle has clearance for the garage, please do not use the outdoor ‘Oversized Vehicles Only’ parking spaces.
  • ADA parking is available for those who have a current ADA placard displayed on the rear-view mirror of their vehicle. Please make sure your placard is current and on display when using the ADA parking spaces.
  • Rideshare drop off and pickup is at the Club bridge, and drivers should use the hotel main entrance via Houstonian Drive . There is also a ‘Drop Off Only’ location between the Club and Trellis Spa which is clearly marked with yellow striping and can be accessed via the main Club entrance (Post Oak Circle) after passing through the Trellis lot. Please do not ever block the traffic flow for drop off or pick up.

We appreciate your diligence with safe driving and adherence to proper parking locations. Failure to follow these guidelines or repeated violations with unsafe driving or improper parking could result in the suspension of your membership privileges.

Thank you for helping us keep our campus safe.
