Parent-Child Relationship

How the Houstonian Club can help families maintain a strong parent-child relationship:

As many parents know, having a strong parent-child relationship is very important for your child. Some parents know this from personal experience with their own parents. Regardless of a parent's relationship with their own parent they can have and maintain a healthy relationship with their children.

These healthy relationships can improve children's development, regulate children's emotions and create confident social skills.

Some things parents could do to help strengthen and maintain this relationship is to play together, eat meals together and to spend one-on-one time with them. All of these things can be accomplished right here at The Houstonian Club! You can check your children into the Bungalow and stay with them to play, eat a meal with them in Center Court Café, or even spend some one on-one-time with them playing a sport on the court, field or Meadow. We also have events families can enjoy and spend quality time having fun together. Our next event is the Daddy Daughter Dance on Feb. 9 and it's not just for fathers! Mothers, grandparents, aunts and uncles are also welcome to join.

By doing these things you can build a forever relationship with your children, and give them the tools they need to be successful as a child and as an adult.
