Locker Rooms Summer Reminders for Children

As summertime is now upon us, and children of all ages are out of school, more of our Members take this time of year to enjoy the Club prior to their summer vacation travels.

We are a family-friendly club that welcomes Members of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy a fun and safe environment, including our locker room spaces.

Here are a few reminders to ensure that all Members understand the expectations regarding children in the locker rooms:
  • In the Resident area, children under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
  • Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the dry sauna, steam room, or whirlpool without adult supervision.
  • Children who are age 9 and above who have completed their Junior Youth Certification may utilize specific areas of the Associate Locker Rooms if they are wearing their Junior Youth Certification wristband, and as long as they are abiding by the locker room guidelines.
  • Children up to the age of 36 months may enter opposite gender locker rooms with a parent or guardian and must be supervised at all times.
  • There are private changing rooms equipped with showers and amenities located adjacent to both the Men’s and Women’s Associate locker rooms on the main floor, for parents with children over the age of 36 months.
  • Parents, please make sure your children are aware that photography, videography, and any form of social media video or video call communication is strictly forbidden in the locker rooms.

The locker rooms are a space that is intended for relaxation, so please keep this in mind, and inform one of our Locker Room attendants regarding any children who are not following proper locker room guidelines.

These are just a few helpful reminders so our Houstonian Club Members of all ages can enjoy the locker room spaces to their fullest extent. We look forward to opening our newly renovated and updated Resident Locker Room wet areas very soon.

Wishing you a wonderful summer from our Locker Rooms team!

Best regards,
Jon Hopkin
