Swimming pools are great places for fun, fitness, and relaxation, but they also require constant attention to safety. Drowning and water-related injuries can happen quickly and quietly, making proactive prevention essential.
Aquatic safety works best when everyone cooperates. While certified lifeguards monitor swimmers, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies, preventing accidents is a shared responsibility. Under Texas state law (25 TAC ยง 265.201), persons under the age of 14 may not be in the pool without adult supervision. Swimmers, parents, and staff must work together to maintain a safe aquatic environment; active adult supervision remains the primary defense against water-related accidents across all aquatic environments.
Water safety awareness saves lives. It starts with informed, responsible behavior, such as following lifeguard instructions, respecting pool rules, and remaining mindful of potential hazards.
To help support a safer community, we offer a Water Safe Program, Youth Group Lessons, and Private Lessons for both children and adults. These programs build essential swimming skills, boost water confidence, and promote lifelong aquatic safety for participants of all ages.
