Dr. Anna Fisher is an emergency physician, chemist, retired NASA astronaut, and fellow Houstonian Club Member. She flew on Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-51A, 1984) on the first space salvage mission to retrieve two satellites—and she became the first mother in space. After a 36-year NASA career, she retired in 2017 as one of NASA’s longest-serving astronauts and now speaks widely as a STEM advocate.
