Holly Tuten, a proud native Houstonian is a retail executive with over 35 years of experience within a customer eccentric environment. In her current role, she serves as the Director of Retail here at The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa. Prior to The Houstonian, she held the position of Regional Retail Operations Manager, with Redstone Companies, specifically overseeing the development of Redstone Golf Management and its golf shops. One of the major responsibilities included the retail operations for the PGA’s Shell Houston Open.
Holly started her retail career at Gap Inc. in 1987 and was there over 12 years and held many positions leading up to a District Manager position overseeing 14 stores here in the Houston area. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University where she majored in Fashion Merchandising. Holly’s greatest skill of driving for results is what keeps her at the table with her business partners every day looking to make The Sports Shop a one of a kind gem!
She’s also a dedicated and passionate mother of two: Blakely, currently living in Nashville and Will, who is headed off to college this year. Holly will be an empty nester with her husband of 26 years, Billy Tuten, giving her plenty of time to focus on her recreating what her new found time will be.
