Cher Harris – Club General Manager

Cher joined the Club as fitness director in 2007, and served as our assistant general manager since 2008. She has over 22 years of club management experience, providing direction for trainers, instructors, pros, dietitians, locker room and other wellness professionals in large fitness facilities around the country.

She has a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University and is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist.

Cher says that variety in fitness is the spice of life. She currently utilizes the weight room, yoga and mountain bikes. She believes that fitness should be fun and make you feel good on the inside and on the outside. Her most recent adventure took her to Nepal where she climbed to the base camp of Mt. Everest.

Her personal time is spent with her husband, Bryan, daughter, Kennedy and son, Gregory.

Kelley Bettis – Club Assistant General Manager

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kelley Bettis as Assistant General Manager of the Houstonian Club.

Kelley has worked for The Houstonian Club for a total of 12 years, and has been the Group Exercise Director for the past 8 years.

Kelley has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University, and she has worked in the Fitness Industry for over 20 years. Her passion for fitness began with teaching Group Exercise classes in the Houston area in the early 90’s, and the highlights of her career include co-owning and managing a fitness center in Lake Jackson, Texas, and eventually returning to Houston and becoming the Group Exercise Director here at The Houstonian Club.  

Kelley’s goal has always been to help members and guests enjoy their friends, family, and lives to the fullest extent by taking care of their mind and body within the inspiring and supportive environment of our Group Exercise studios. She is very excited to begin expanding this passion to all areas of the Club as the Assistant General Manager.

Kelley is married to husband Jim, and together they have four sons ranging in age from 10 to 24 years of age. Family is very important to Kelley, both at home and at work, and she treasures the many special relationships that she has developed here at The Houstonian Club.
